Cream cheese & pepper jelly served with butter crackers is a southern classic. If you are looking for a fast, easy, and flavorful hors d’oeuvre, give this combination a try. The cream cheese provides rich tanginess, the pepper jelly is sweet and spicy, and the crackers lend a salty, buttery bite. It may not be pretty, but it sure is delicious.
You can find pepper jelly in the jelly, jam, and preserves section of the grocery store, but I like to buy mine from a local gourmet shop called YUM Southern Market. They make it in-house and have a wide variety of delicious flavors. Additionally, I like to support small businesses when I can.

Pepper jelly, to taste
Butter crackers, such as Keebler Toasted Buttercrisp Crackers
1. Unwrap the cream cheese and place it on a serving dish. Spoon the desired amount of pepper jelly over the top of the cream cheese. Serve with butter crackers.
